Co-production means delivering services in an equal and reciprocal relationship between professionals, people using services, their families, and their carers.
The difference between co-production and other forms of influence and participation is in co-production, people with lived experience play an equal role in both designing and delivering services and research, rather than making suggestions that professionals are responsible for deciding upon and implementing.
